Eagles' Westbrook, McNabb questionablePhiladelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Quarterback Donovan McNabb returned to practice for the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, but is still listed as questionable along with running back Brian Westbrook for Sunday night's game at the Chicago Bears. Pro Bowl guard Shawn Andrews and tight end L.J. Smith, both dealing with back injuries, are listed as doubtful.
McNabb, who is recovering from a chest contusion, and Westbrook, who has a
strained ankle, had not practiced all week until Friday, when McNabb took the
field. Eagles head coach Andy Reid seemed optimistic that McNabb would make
the start in his hometown on Sunday, while Westbrook will be a game-time
decision. Westbrook left Sunday's 15-6 win over Pittsburgh after suffering the injury on the first play of the second quarter. He stumbled while trying to hurdle a fallen teammate, and twisted his ankle slightly on the landing. Westbrook left the field and did not return, finishing with 12 yards rushing on five attempts. A Monday MRI on Westbrook's ankle did not reveal any significant damage. McNabb also suffered his injury against Pittsburgh, and missed part of the third quarter before returning.
