Falcons place OT Pennington on IR

Flowery Branch, GA (Sports Network) - The Atlanta Falcons placed offensive tackle Terrance Pennington on injured reserve and waived defensive end Kevin Huntley Wednesday.

Pennington played in five games with the Falcons this season and is the 15th player the team has placed on injured reserve, the most for the team in 10 years.

Huntley saw action in five games and compiled four tackles.

The Falcons also promoted offensive tackle Kurt Quarterman from the practice squad. The 6-foot-5, 342-pound Quarterman has spent the entire season on the team's practice squad after being signed as an undrafted free agent in May.
