Favre's career day leads Jets over Cards


East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Brett Favre set a career-high with six touchdown passes as the New York Jets outgunned Arizona, 56-35, at the Meadowlands.

Favre completed 24-of-34 passes for 289 yards with the only blemish an early interception.

Laveranues Coles had eight receptions for 105 yards and three TDs for the Jets (2-2). Jerricho Cotchery added 67 receiving yards and a pair of scores on four catches.

Kurt Warner threw for 472 yards and two touchdowns on 40-of-57 completions, but was picked off three times and fumbled three times for the Cardinals (2-2), who have dropped their last two games.

Steve Breaston had nine catches for 122 yards, Larry Fitzgerald also gained 122 yards on eight receptions, and Edgerrin James rushed for two scores.
