Favre questionable for Sunday, other Jets banged up as wellHempstead, NY (Sports Network) - New York Jets quarterback Brett Favre is questionable for Sunday's home contest against the Arizona Cardinals with a left ankle injury. Favre, 38, has been limited in practice throughout the week due to an ankle injury suffered in Monday night's 48-29 pummeling at the hands of the San Diego Chargers.
The former Packers great is in the midst of an NFL quarterback record 256
consecutive starts behind center and has thrown for 646 yards with six
touchdowns and three interceptions for the 1-2 Jets so far this season. One of Favre's main targets, Laveranues Coles, is also listed as questionable with a thigh injury. Coles has compiled 152 yards and a touchdown on 10 receptions this season. Jets defensive tackle Kris Jenkins, who did not participate in Wednesday's practice with a back injury, was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday and is expected to play Sunday, though he is listed as questionable.
