Former Titans DT Long in critical condition after wreck

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Former Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Rien Long is in critical condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a single-car crash near downtown Nashville Monday night.

"We are aware of Rien's accident and several members of the organization visited him last night," the Titans said in a statement. "We would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to Rien and his family during this difficult time."

The 26-year-old Long, who was a fourth-round draft pick by the Titans in 2003, played three seasons in Tennessee prior to suffering an Achilles' injury during training camp in 2006.

Long amassed 99 tackles, 9 1/2 sacks and a forced fumble in 39 career games with the Titans.
