Giants QB Manning expected to play SundayEast Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning says he's ready to play Sunday's home game against the San Francisco Giants despite suffering a bruised chest in a loss to the Cleveland Browns. Manning was driven to the ground by 350-pound defensive tackle Shaun Rogers in the 35-14 loss Monday night.
"He is a big man and had a good hit," said Manning. "I would not have minded a
flag on the call. We didn't get it, so you go on." Manning was picked off three times Monday, while completing 18-of-28 passes for 196 yards with a score for New York (4-1). "There's a little soreness. It didn't affect practice, throwing or keep me from doing anything I needed to do," said Manning. "It could have been worse, but I feel good. It won't keep me from anything this week."
