Lemon hurt in Dolphins' finaleMiami, FL (Sports Network) - Miami Dolphins quarterback Cleo Lemon suffered a hip injury during Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Lemon was hurt early in the third quarter during a two-yard run.
John Beck took over and failed to handle a shotgun snap on his first play.
Cincinnati's Nedu Ndukwe picked up the fumble and raced 54 yards the other way
for a touchdown. Lemon, starting his third straight game after Beck's four-game tryout earlier in the season, completed 14-of-21 passes for 123 yards with a touchdown before leaving the game. Beck eventually led the Dolphins to a touchdown in the fourth quarter. In his first four games of the year, the rookie threw for just 424 yards without a touchdown and three interceptions. The Dolphin offense failed to reach the end zone with the BYU product at the helm of games against Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, the New York Jets and Buffalo. Lemon first took over the starter's role after Trent Green suffered a concussion during the October 7 contest against Houston and was lost for the year.
