Packers confirm spleen injury for HarrisGreen Bay, WI (Sports Network) - The Green Bay Packers confirmed cornerback Al Harris suffered a serious spleen injury in Sunday night's 27-16 loss to Dallas, but it may not end his season. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said Harris may not have to undergo surgery, but he'll definitely miss this week's game against Tampa Bay.
"It's a different type of injury, and we're getting as much information as
possible," said McCarthy. "I'm hopeful that he'll be back. The time frame just
hasn't been established yet." Harris left Sunday's game twice in the first quarter, once after colliding with linebacker A.J. Hawk downfield then later in the quarter after making a tackle. He did not return to the game after leaving for a second time. Harris has seven tackles and five passes defensed in three games this season with Green Bay, his sixth with the club. Tramon Williams will replace Harris in the lineup.
