Pats activate two players from PUP

Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Patriots on Wednesday activated wide receiver Chad Jackson and cornerback Eddie Jackson from the physically-unable-to-perform list.

Jackson had 13 receptions for 152 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games last season.

Eddie Jackson, 27, has played 39 career games in three seasons between the Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins. Jackson, who has not played this season, has recorded 16 career tackles and two fumble recoveries.

In a corresponding move, the Patriots released safety Ray Ventrone.
