Raiders officially sign Walker, Harris

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - The Oakland Raiders officially signed veteran wide receiver Javon Walker on Wednesday.

Terms were not disclosed, but The NFL Network reported that the deal was for six years and $55 million, including $27 million in the first three years and $16 million guaranteed.

The deal comes on the heels of Randy Moss' record-setting three-year, $27 million contract that he signed with New England on Monday.

Denver severed ties with Walker late last week. The Broncos tried to trade Walker, but couldn't swing a deal and released him to avoid having to pay him a $5.4 million option bonus.

Walker started out last season with two 100-yard games, but missed two months after a third operation on his right knee. He finished the season with 26 catches for 287 yards in eight games.

Over six seasons in the NFL, his first four with Green Bay before a draft day trade in 2006 sent him to Denver, he has appeared in 72 games and has 252 catches for 3,815 yards and 30 touchdowns.

The Raiders also reached an agreement with former San Francisco offensive tackle Kwame Harris on a reported three-year, $16 million deal.

In five seasons in the NFL, all with San Francisco, the 6-foot-7, 322-pound Jamaican has appeared in 72 games, including 44 starts.
