Redskins' Daniels injures knee


Ashburn, VA (Sports Network) - Washington Redskins defensive end Phillip Daniels suffered a left knee injury during the team's first training camp. practice.

The 13-year veteran was carted off the field after the first play of 7-on-7 drills.

Head coach Jim Zorn described the injury as a possible knee hyperextension.

Daniels appeared in 15 games last season with the Redskins, totaling 37 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks.
