Report: DT McCargo fails physical, voiding trade to ColtsIndianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Defensive tackle John McCargo reportedly failed a physical on Wednesday, voiding his trade from the Buffalo Bills to the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts thought they had acquired some help for their defensive line when they dealt for McCargo just before the trade deadline on Tuesday, but the Indianapolis Star-Tribune reported Wednesday night that the 6-foot-2, 307- pounder failed his physical exam due to a problem with a disc in his back.
McCargo, who the Bills traded up to take 26th overall in 2006, was expected
to add depth at the position for Indy, which lost tackles Quinn Pitcock and
Ed Johnson to injury earlier this season. The North Carolina State product will return to Buffalo, where he has been a disappointment so far. Appearing in 25 games over two seasons, McCargo has 29 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks. In four games this season, he has failed to register a tackle.
