Report: Taaffe leaving Hamilton for West VirginiaCharleston, WV (Sports Network) - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats appear to be in the market for a new head coach, as Charlie Taaffe has reportedly decided to take a position as offensive coordinator at West Virginia. The Charleston Gazette reported Thursday that Taaffe was one of a handful of assistants hired by new West Virginia head coach Bill Stewart.
Taaffe just finished his first season in Hamilton with a dismal record of 3-15
and there was speculation he would not be retained, but one of the first moves
by new Tiger-Cats general manager Bob O'Billovich was to keep the coach.
