Seahawks QB Hasselbeck misses game vs. PackersKirkland, WA (Sports Network) - Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck missed the Seahawks 27-17 loss against the Green Bay Packers with a sore right knee. Charlie Frye got the starting nod, his first since Week 1 of 2007 with the Cleveland Browns. Frye struggled, completing only 12-of-23 passes for 83 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Seneca Wallace, who has served as the primary backup, was limited in practice due to a calf injury and did not appear in the game.
Frye took the snaps at practice this week, while Hasselbeck was unable to take
part in sessions. In his career, spanning 22 appearances, Frye has now
thrown for 16 touchdowns and 25 interceptions. Hasselbeck has completed 58-of-118 passes for 656 yards with a pair of touchdowns and four interceptions this season for the Seahawks (1-3). The Boston College product missed only the 10th game of his 10-year career -- first since 2006.
