Steelers sign linebacker FarriorPittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Steelers signed linebacker James Farrior to a five-year contract on Thursday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. A 12-year veteran that signed with Pittsburgh in 2002, he has led the team in tackles four out of his six years in the Steel City.
Originally a first-round draft pick (eighth overall) of the New York Jets in
1997, last season he had 94 tackles, a career-high 6 1/2 sacks and one
interception. Over his career, which included his first five seasons with the Jets, He has 798 tackles and 21 sacks along with 10 interceptions in 168 career games
