Texans sign ex-Titans RB BrownHouston, TX (Sports Network) - The Houston Texans signed unrestricted free agent running back Chris Brown Thursday, inking the ex-Tennessee Titan to an undisclosed deal. Brown, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound bruiser entering his sixth season out of Colorado, was second on the Titans in rushing in 2007 with 462 yards and five touchdowns. The Winfield, Illinois native has spent all five of his NFL seasons with Tennessee, and enjoyed his best campaign in 2004, when he rushed for 1,067 yards and six scores in 11 games.
Taken in the third round of the 2003 draft, Brown has battled injuries
throughout his pro career, having never played a full 16-game season and
missing at least five games three different times. After playing in just five games in 2006, Brown was relegated to a backup role last season behind second-year man LenDale White, who rushed for over 1,000 yards and seven TDs.
