Titans CB King fractures forearm

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Tennessee Titans cornerback Eric King is out for the remainder of the season after fracturing his forearm in Sunday's 10-6 win over the New York Jets.

King, who played nickel back ahead of an injured Vincent Fuller, had played in every game this season, starting once, which was Sunday's contest.

"Eric King required surgery this morning to fix his fractured forearm," Titans coach Jeff Fisher said. "So Eric will be out. It's probably going to be a four to six week injury, similar to that of Ahmard Hall. We'll have to do something with Eric not being available down the stretch."

King spent his first NFL season with the Buffalo Bills in 2005. In 2006, the former fifth-round pick from Wake Forest was claimed off waivers by the Titans just prior to the start of the regular season.

The Titans are tied with the Cleveland Browns, both with 9-6 records, going into the 8:15 p.m. (et) contest at Indianapolis on Sunday. If Tennessee beats the Colts, the Titans will be in the postseason. If the Titans lose, the Browns will get the wild card -- the sixth and final AFC playoff spot.
