Vikings sign QB Frerotte

Eden Prairie, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Vikings signed veteran quarterback Gus Frerotte on Tuesday.

Frerotte, who played with the Vikings from 2003-04, has been in the NFL for 14 seasons and has played with Washington, Detroit, Denver, Cincinnati, Miami and St. Louis.

Over 136 games, which included 82 starts, he has completed 54.2 percent of his passes for 19,134 yards with 102 touchdowns and 91 interceptions.

In his first start with Minnesota, a game against San Francisco on September 28, 2003, he set a team-record with a 157.2 passer rating.
