Angela Park one up in Evian


Evian-les-Bains, France (Sports Network) - Angela Park posted a four-under 68 Friday to grab a one-stroke lead after two rounds of the Evian Masters.

Park completed 36 holes at 10-under-par 134. This is the fifth time Park owned at least a share of the 36-hole lead. She is still looking for her first win.

Helen Alfredsson, a two-time winner of this event, had the round of the day as she fired a nine-under 63 to jump into second place at minus-nine.

Juli Inkster, the 2001 winner, carded a 69 on Friday and is tied for third place at eight-under-par 136. She was joined there by Cristie Kerr (66), Candie Kung (70), Meena Lee (69) and In Kyung Kim (68).

First-round leader and women's world No. 1 Lorena Ochoa stumbled to a one-over 73 to slip into a share of eighth at minus-six.

Annika Sorenstam, a two-time champion at this event, and defending champion Natalie Gulbis are among seven players tied for 16th place at four-under-par 140. Sorenstam shot 69 in round two, while Gulbis managed a 71 at Evian Masters Golf Club.
