Nationwide stop in PA moves to new course

Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (Sports Network) - The Nationwide Tour announced Monday that this year's Northeast Pennsylvania Classic will move to Elmhurst Country Club.

The par-70 course, in the Scranton suburb of Moscow, replaces Glenmaura National Golf Club as host of the tour's only stop in Pennsylvania.

Tour officials did not approach Glenmaura soon enough to schedule the tournament there again. The course had hosted the event since its inception in 2000.

This year's Northeast Pennsylvania Classic will take place from Aug. 21-24.
