Ochoa grabs early lead in FranceEvian-les-Bains, France (Sports Network) - Lorena Ochoa returned to action and to the top of the leaderboard. Playing for the first time since the U.S. Women's Open, Ochoa fired a seven- under 65 Thursday to take a one-stroke lead after the opening round of the Evian Masters.
Angela Park, the reigning LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year, carded a six-under 66
and was joined in second place by Candie Kung and Sun Ju Ahn. Juli Inkster, the 2001 champion, is one of five players one shot further back at minus-five. Defending champion Natalie Gulbis is part of a group tied for 13th at three- under-par 69. Two-time winner Annika Sorenstam carded an opening-round 71 and is tied for 30th. MORE TO FOLLOW.
