Parr grabs Spring International leadModesto, CA (Sports Network) - Andrew Parr fired a seven-under 65 Saturday to take a one-stroke lead after three rounds of the Spring International, the Canadian Tour's 2008 season opener. Parr completed 54 holes at 13-under-par 203, which bettered Bret Guetz's 54- hole record by one stroke. Joel Kribel led after two rounds, but only managed an even-par 72 in round three. He was joined in second place at minus-12 by Spencer Levin, who fired a 66 on Saturday. First-round co-leader Brent Schwarzrock (72) is one stroke further back at 11- under-par 205 at Del Rio Country Club. Barr will go for his first tour win on Sunday. "I was hitting the ball really solid today," Barr said. "My driving was a bit off yesterday, but today everything was working smoothly. I wanted to get off to a good start and I did. With the lack of wind, the scores were going to be low. I have been playing the par-five holes really well. There isn't too much trouble on this course, but you still have to play well." Steve Conway, Matt Bettencourt, Joseph Lanza and Troy are tied for sixth place at 10-under-par 206, while Garrett Frank, Luke Swilor, Scott Gibson and Jose Antonio Maldonado are one shot back at minus-nine.
