Second round washed out at Sybase ClassicClifton, NJ (Sports Network) - The second round of the Sybase Classic was cancelled on Friday due to inclement weather and unplayable course conditions at Upper Montclair Country Club. Several players teed off in round two on Friday, but all scores from the day will be erased. The event has been shortened to 54 holes and the second round will start anew Saturday morning. Annika Sorenstam, who announced her retirement at the end of the season on Tuesday, reminded everyone she still has some good golf left on Thursday. She posted a five-under 67 to share the lead with Song-Hee Kim and Rachel Hetherington. The horrible conditions hurt Hetherington and Catriona Matthew the most. Both players reached six-under par for the championship, but none of that counts now. Lorena Ochoa carded a four-under 68 and leads a group tied for fourth. Matthew, Carolina LLano, Brittany Lang, Teresa Lu and Pat Hurst joined Ochoa at minus-four.
