Three share lead in MexicoRiviera Maya, Mexico (Sports Network) - Craig Matthew posted a five-under 67 Friday to move into a share of the lead after two rounds of the Canadian Tour's Iberostar Riviera Maya Open. Matthew was joined atop the leaderboard at eight-under-par 136 by Daniel Im (69) and Brent Schwarzrock (69). Matthew and Schwarzrock both have won once on the Canadian Tour, while Im is making his first tour start.
"I feel like a player again," said Matthew. "It has been a while since I've
played good golf. I've been working with a new coach and he was teaching me
about getting up to the ball more on impact and it seems to be working.
Playing so well again really does wonders for my confidence." First-round leader Craig Hicks managed an even-par 72 on Friday. He shares fourth place at minus-six with Tom Stankowski (68). Oscar Serna and Ryan Thornberry share sixth place at minus-five. The cut line fell at two-over-par 146 with 63 players moving on to the final two rounds.
