Wagner climbs 189 places in world rankings


Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Johnson Wagner's first career PGA Tour win Sunday at the Houston Open earned him a berth in this week's Masters. It also vaulted him 189 places to No. 124 in the latest world rankings.

Further up in the rankings, Geoff Ogilvy parlayed a second-place tie in Texas into a six-spot bump to No. 5.

Ahead of him, the top four remained the same: No. 1 Tiger Woods was followed by Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els and Steve Stricker.

K.J. Choi and Jim Furyk moved up one spot apiece to sixth and seventh, Adam Scott and Justin Rose both tumbled three places to eighth and ninth, while Vijay Singh and Rory Sabbatini were down one spot each to 10th and 11th.

Padraig Harrington and Henrik Stenson remained 12th and 13th, while Stewart Cink was up one spot to 14th, dropping Sergio Garcia to 15th. Luke Donald and Angel Cabrera held the 16th and 17th spots again.

Lee Westwood and defending Masters champion Zach Johnson were up one spot apiece to 18th and 19th, knocking Aaron Baddeley down two places to 20th.
