Will Mitchell leads ATB Financial Classic

Calgary, Alberta (Sports Network) - Will Mitchell fired a nine-under 62 on Thursday to take the first-round lead of the ATB Financial Classic at Cottonwood Golf and Country Club.

Andrew Johnson and Eugene Smith are tied for second place at minus-eight.

Mike Sica is alone in fourth at seven-under 64.

Conner Robbins, Steve Conway, Stephen Dixon, Jim Seki, Brian Benedictson, Casey Watabu, Clayton Ogden, Jordan Krantz and Walt Keating share fifth place at six-under 65.

Defending champion Mike Grob is two strokes further back at minus-four.
