Bruins' D Ward suffers neck injuryPittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Boston Bruins defenseman Aaron Ward injured his neck early in the second period of Wednesday's 2-1 victory over Pittsburgh. The injury occurred when Ward was struck in the neck by either the forearm or stick of Pittsburgh defenseman Sergei Gonchar. Ward collapsed to the ice and needed to be helped off the ice by teammates.
He did not return and was taken to Pittsburgh's Presbyterian Hospital for
precautionary measures.
