Canucks re-sign Sanford

Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - The Vancouver Canucks re-signed backup netminder Curtis Sanford on Wednesday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sanford was 4-3-1 with a 2.83 goals-against average and 0.898 save percentage in 16 games as relief for starter Roberto Luongo last season, Sanford's first with the Canucks.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound goaler has a 30-29-11 record in 89 career games with St. Louis (2002-07) and Vancouver.
