Czechs eliminate Belarus from Worlds

Quebec City, QC (Sports Network) - In the second shootout of the tournament, Radim Vrbata and Ales Kotalik netted goals as the Czech Republic edged Belarus, 3-2 at the 2008 World Hockey Championships.

Tomas Rolinek and Kotalik scored in regulation for the Czechs.

Yaroslav Chupris and Andrei Kostitsyn accounted for the Belarus goals, which was eliminated from quarterfinals play.
