Ducks' Kunitz returns for Game 3, but leaves after two periodsOttawa, ON (Sports Network) - Anaheim Ducks left wing Chris Kunitz returned to play in Game 3 of the teams 5-3 loss to Ottawa in the Stanley Cup finals. Kunitz, who suffered a broken bone in his right hand in the opener of Anaheim's Western Conference finals series against Detroit, had surgery on the hand and was expected to miss the remainder of the postseason, but the hand healed quicker than expected and he returned to play.
However, he left after the second period with a lower body injury and did not
return. He finished the game minus-one with 4:13 of ice time in 10 shifts. The Saskatchewan native has a goal and five assists in 12 playoff games this year. He had 25 goals and 35 assists during the regular season. Despite the loss, Anaheim holds a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 4 is scheduled for Monday night in Ottawa.
