Ducks' Niedermayer leaves game


Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Anaheim Ducks center Rob Niedermayer left Sunday's game against the Phoenix Coyotes in the first period with an undisclosed injury.

The 33-year-old brother of Ducks' captain Scott Niedermayer has one goal in two games this season. Niedermayer is in his 15th NHL season -- sixth with Anaheim -- and recorded eight goals and 16 points in 78 games last season.
