Gaborik, Lehtonen and Arnott named NHL Three StarsNew York, NY (Sports Network) - Minnesota Wild forward Marian Gaborik, Atlanta Thrashers goaltender Kari Lehtonen and Nashville Predators forward Jason Arnott have been named the NHL's Three Stars for the week ending December 23. Gaborik took first star honors after leading the league with six goals and two assists. His five-goal, six-point performance against the New York Rangers on December 20 made him the first player to score five goals in a game since Sergei Fedorov did it with Detroit in 1996.
Lehtonen was the second star after posting a 4-0-0 record, 1.96 goals-against
average and .935 save percentage for the Thrashers. The Finnish netminder is
6-6-0 with a 3.20 GAA and .903 save percentage in 14 games this season. Arnott had four goals and four assists in four games to earn the third star. The veteran forward leads Nashville in scoring with 12 goals and 17 helpers in 33 games.
