Junior league center Renaud diesWindsor, ON (Sports Network) - Junior hockey center Mickey Renaud, a fifth- round draft pick of the Calgary Flames last year, suddenly passed away on Monday at his home in Ontario. He was 19. "Windsor Spitfire captain Mickey Renaud suddenly collapsed at his Tecumseh home and was transported to Windsor Regional Hospital with absent vital signs," commented Windsor Spitfires team physician Dr. Roy Diklich. "All attempts were made at resuscitation and were unsuccessful at the emergency room."
The 6'3", 220-pound Renaud, who was drafted 143rd overall, had 41 points in
56 games with the Spitfires this season.
