Kings buy out CloutierLos Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Kings exercised their option to buy out the remaining year on the contract of goaltender Dan Cloutier. Cloutier was acquired from Vancouver, where he had posted three straight 30- win seasons, in July 2006. He proved to be a bust in Los Angeles as he appeared in just 33 games over two seasons and just nine last season.
Over those 33 games he posted a 8-18-3 mark with a 3.83 goals-against average
and a .844 save percentage. A first round pick by the New York Rangers in 1994, he has appeared in 353 games (322 starts) and has posted a record of 139-144-34-4 with a 2.78 GAA and 15 shutouts with the Rangers, Lightning, Canucks and Kings.
