Leafs send Gill to PittsburghPittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Penguins beefed up their blue line Tuesday by acquiring defenseman Hal Gill from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and a 2009 fifth- round selection. Gill, 32, was in his second season with Toronto after playing the last eight years of his career with Boston. He has two goals and 18 assists for 20 points in 63 games this season.
The 6-foot-7 Massachusetts native has 28 goals and 137 points in 771 NHL
games, and owns a career rating of plus-52.
