Maple Leafs sign Stajan for two yearsToronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Toronto Maple Leafs signed restricted free agent forward Matt Stajan to a two-year contract Monday. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 24-year-old scored a career-high 16 goals and contributed 17 assists in 82 games last season for the Maple Leafs.
A native of neighboring Mississauga, Stajan was originally selected in
the second round of the 2002 draft by the Leafs. He has posted 56 goals
and 127 points in 314 career contests.
