Ottawa captain Alfredsson returns to action

Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson returned to the lineup Monday for Game 3 of Ottawa's Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Alfredsson missed the first two games of the series as well as the last game of the regular season with a knee injury suffered on April 3 at Toronto.

The Penguins lead the set two games to none, with the next two contests slated for Scotiabank Place in Canada's capital.

In addition, top-line forward Jason Spezza was in the lineup, after suffering an apparent leg injury in Friday's Game 2 5-3 loss to the Penguins.
