Pronger, Ducks edge Jackets

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Chris Pronger registered a goal and an assist, leading the Anaheim Ducks to a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Honda Center.

Ryan Getzlaf also posted a goal and an assist, and Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 26 saves for the Ducks, who halted a two-game slide.

Andrew Murray scored the only goal and Pascal Leclaire stopped 32-of-34 shots for Columbus, which had a two-game winning streak broken.

Getzlaf lit the lamp at the 3:03 mark of the first when he elevated a backhander over the right pad of Leclaire.

Columbus knotted the game at one with 4:01 remaining in the opening frame. Giguere turned aside Sergei Fedorov's offering, but Murray, playing in only his third career NHL game, buried the rebound in the back of the net for his first career NHL goal.

Anaheim scored a power-play goal late in the second off a fortuitous carom. Pronger snapped a shot from the left point that redirected off the glove of Columbus defenseman Ron Hainsey past Leclaire with 15 seconds left.

In the third, Columbus failed to score on a pair of power plays and, with the time dwindling down, pulled Leclaire in favor of an extra skater, but could not slip the puck behind Giguere.
