Senators Alfredsson, Fisher out

Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - Ottawa will be without forwards Daniel Alfredsson and Mike Fisher for a significant period of time, according to Sens coach Bryan Murray.

Both players were injured in Thursday's 8-2 win Toronto. Alfredsson is suffering from "upper body and knee" injuries, while Fisher is also down with a knee injury.

"I don't know the time frame, but it's going to be awhile," Murray said on the team's Web site. "We're talking weeks for both of them."

The Senators need to record a point in Friday's home game against Boston to clinch a playoff spot.
