Senators re-sign Kelly to multiyear deal

Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - The Ottawa Senators re-signed center Chris Kelly to a multiyear contract on Saturday.

Terms of the deal were not announced, but TSN of Canada reported the accord was for four years, worth $8.5 million.

The three-year veteran had 11 goals and 19 assists in 75 games last season. For his career, he has tallied 36 goals and 62 assists in 243 regular-season contests.

The 27-year-old Kelly, a native of Toronto, scored 15 goals and dished out 23 assists in 82 games during the 2006-07 campaign, his most productive season in the league.

Kelly was Ottawa's third-round pick, 94th overall in the 1999 NHL draft.
