Jags sign Thorpe; waive Richards

Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed wide receiver Craphonso Thorpe and waived wide receiver Derrek Richards.

Thorpe played in five games for Indianapolis last season and registered 12 receptions for 70 yards with one touchdown. The Florida State product also returned 15 kickoffs for an average of 21.2 yards and returned six punts for a 5.2 yard average.

The Tallahassee, Florida native was selected in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by Kansas City and has also spent time with Detroit.

Richards was signed on May 16 as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Utah.
