Stars sign Daley to three-year dealFrisco, TX (Sports Network) - The Dallas Stars have signed defenseman Trevor Daley to a three-year contract worth $6.9 million through the 2010-11 season. Daley appeared in all 82 games for the Stars this past season, registering career highs with five goals, 19 assists and 24 points. He added one goal in 18 playoff games, helping the Stars reach the Western Conference finals.
"At just 24 years of age, Trevor continues to grow as a hockey player and we
are looking for his game to improve over the next three years," said Stars co-
general manager Les Jackson. "He is a valuable member of our hockey club and
is a key part to our strong nucleus of younger players." The Stars made Daley a second-round pick and the 43rd overall choice of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He has played 264 regular-season games with the Stars, posting 13 goals with 43 assists for 56 points.
