"Ascot is one of the world's greatest racing venues, and for centuries has been the hallmark of the finest competition in international racing," said Breeders' Cup president and CEO Greg Avioli. "It is an honor and a privilege for us to be able to include these tremendous races from Ascot in this year's challenge."

The Breeders' Cup Challenge is a series of qualifying races for the Breeders' Cup World Championships. This year's Breeders' Cup World Championships will be held on October 24 and 25 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, CA during the track's Oak Tree meet. It will be televised live on ESPN.

There are now 53 races in the series, in which the winner of each race gains automatic entry into a corresponding Breeders' Cup race.
