Churchill Downs schedules news conference with Jacksons

Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - Churchill Downs has scheduled a Tuesday morning news conference that will involve the owners of 2006 Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro.

Roy and Gretchen Jackson, who owned the ill-fated thoroughbred, will be in Louisville on the one year anniversary of their colt's death. Churchill Downs is only indicating that a special announcement will made.

The Jacksons have been mulling the final resting place of Barbaro's ashes since he died last year. Several locations have been considered, including Delaware Park where Barbaro began his career and Churchill Downs.
