Hall of Famer Manzi pilots 13,000th winner

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Hall of Fame driver Cat Manzi recorded the 13,000th victory of his career in the third race on Wednesday night at the Meadowlands.

Only Herve Filion (15,174) has more victories in the history of harness racing.

Manzi, 58, piloted the three-year-old Manningly in the $10,000 Kindergarten Classic to pick up the milestone win. Manningly is trained by Larry Rathbone, who Manzi teamed with when he won his first $1 million race, the 2004 North America Cup.

The Freehold, New Jersey native is second all-time in wins at the Meadowlands with 3,448 and has earned more than $62 million at the track despite never winning the driving title there.
