Thursday racing cancelled at Aqueduct

Ozone Park, NY (Sports Network) - Aqueduct Race Track has cancelled the remaining seven races of Thursday's program due to poor conditions.

The first two races were conducted on a racing surface labeled sloppy because of rain. Following the second race the jockeys refused to continue riding, declaring the track was unsafe.

Two horses in the second race, Jeannine Joy and Silver Paradise, were both eased in the stretch.

Racing is set to resume Friday.
