War Pass and Pyro top second Kentucky Derby Future PoolLouisville, KY (Sports Network) - Eclipse Award winner War Pass is the 5-2 morning-line favorite for the second of three Kentucky Derby Future Wagers. Pyro, winner of the Risen Star Stakes, is the 6-1 second choice in the field of 24. War Pass, winner of the Breeders' Cup Juvenile in 2007, is coming off a commanding victory in an allowance race at Gulfstream Park and is set to run in the Tampa Bay Derby on Saturday, March 15. The colt was 6-1 at the close of betting in the first Future Pool. Pyro is the 7-5 favorite for this Saturday's running of the $600,000 Louisiana Derby at the Fair Grounds. He was second to War Pass in last Year's Juvenile at Monmouth Park and finished at 5-1 in the first Future Wager. The mutuel field and Fountain of Youth victor Cool Coal Man are co-third choices at 10-1. Wagering begins Thursday at 12 p.m. (et) and continues through Sunday at 6 p.m. (et).
