America coach Romano quitsMexico City, Mexico (Sports Network) - America coach Ruben Omar Romano stepped down Wednesday night after a 4-2 loss to Flamengo in the Copa Libertadores. Romano, who previously said he would step down after the season, is the second coach America has lost this season. Daniel Brailovsky was fired in February.
America has the worst record in Mexico's top division, with just two victories
in 16 matches. The club will try to bounce back for the second leg of the Copa
round of 16 match against Flamengo on Wednesday.
