Arsenal's Adebayor unlikely to join AC Milan

Milan, Italy (Sports Network) - AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has admitted Emmanuel Adebayor is unlikely to be leaving Arsenal this summer as the two clubs cannot agree a fee for the striker.

The 24-year-old Togo international has been tracked by the Italian giants throughout the summer despite Arsenal insisting he is not for sale.

Galliani claims he has held preliminary discussions with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, but that a deal for the former AS Monaco striker is unlikely to materialize.

The north London club is reported to be holding out for nearly $70 million for last season's 30-goal top-scorer.

"I have had contact with Wenger and right now we are divided on an important difference in terms of value of the player," Galliani revealed.

Meanwhile, Milan have also been linked with a move for fellow London-based striker Didier Drogba of Chelsea.

However, Galliani has suggested that both players are likely to be remaining with their current clubs.

He conceded: "They are both great forwards but they could both remain where they are."
