Arshavin fails to impress MourinhoMilan, Italy (Sports Network) - Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho has ruled his club out of the race to sign Russia star Andrei Arshavin from UEFA Cup champion Zenit St. Petersburg. The 27-year-old is one of Europe's hottest properties after impressing at Euro 2008, with Barcelona and Chelsea reported to be leading the chase for the left- footed playmaker.
However, an unimpressed Mourinho told The Daily Mail: "Arshavin is a fine
player, but is he mature enough to play in one of Europe's top countries? He
showed a lot of inspiration at the European Championships against Sweden and
Holland, but he seemed to absolutely switch off in the next match against
Spain. "At Inter we are looking for players who are capable of playing to the highest standards, not for two or five games in a row, but for the entire season." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
